All my daily staples, right here in one spot. From clothes to make up to kitchen tools, I’m sharing my favorite items that would make *amazing* gift options this season.
Patagonia Women’s Prow Bomber Jacket:
A few months ago I was walking around the city. The girl in front of me was wearing the most ADORABLE puffer bomber jacket. Perfectly warm while still appearing lightweight and hit perfectly at her hips. It was everything I didn’t know I wanted for the season and I wish I would have asked her where she got it. Instead I creepily went home and thought about this stranger for a few days before searching the internet for a similar make. I ordered this Patagonia one after seeing it on Anthropologie’s website. I was scared to purchase a jacket online but this one was an absolute win. It’s perfect for both chilly AND cold days (there’s room to layer underneath but it’s not too baggy without layers on). Plus it’s adorable and made very well!
Buildable Blur CC Cream:
My mom got me hooked on this stuff and at first I was skeptical because, well, my mom recommended it. Love that woman but always safe to double check some of her suggestions 😀 Proud to say she absolutely nailed this one and it’s saved my life on the daily, not to be dramatic. Super lightweight and smooth, literally feels like velvet on my skin. I use it every day since putting on a full face of make up is so heavy and a hassle. This covers redness so well!
Kush Mascara:
If you’re an OG follower you 10000% remember the first day I got my Kush Mascara in the mail. Why? Because I was absolutely obsessed from the first use. I’ve never seen anything lift my lashes like this product. You *MUST* get the primer too! I always curl my lashes, apply the primer, then the mascara. The trifecta that just…hits different.
Mejuri Strength Necklace:
Cue the heart eyes emoji. For the longest time I’ve been wanting a few go-to gold chains that I could wear on the daily, and then I fell in love with this strength pendant and it was all over from there. A few of my friends wear real solid gold chains, but some of us are broke college students just looking for a cute chain without losing the small amount of money we barely have 🙂 This chain is vermeil, so not real gold but totally affordable! Just make sure not to wear it when working out (sweat) or in the shower. Other than that it never comes off. Layers so adorably with shorter chains too!
Adidas Falcons:
Ooooooh, we LOVE her. Over the summer I was on a desperate hunt for white chunky sneakers that would match everything and look super cute with flowy skirts and dresses. I’m in love with these sneaks because not only are they beyond comfortable, they can do no wrong when it comes to throwing an outfit together. Can be dressed both up and down, win winnnnnnnn! I found these run true to size!
Revlon One Step Dryer Volumizer Brush
I wish I had more hair product recs for you guys, but full transparency I just use whatever I can get my hands on and pray it works. Me, being a responsible adult in 2019. Shocker! Seriously though, I adore this hairdryer. When I was younger my mom would blow dry my hair for me and I’m not ashamed this was the case until I left for college. Then I was stranded on my own and in desperate need of a savior. Enter this two-in-one hairdryer. It’s fool proof. I’m a hair idiot and somehow can get my hair to look halfway decent with this thing. My hair is super thick and this manages to dry it in under a half hour, which is unheard of for me. Blessssssss!
Cuisinart Food Processor
I’m not the *best* baker, but when I need a sweet treat on hand I honestly just throw a bunch of ingredients into my food processor and hope for the best. I genuinely didn’t realize how many of my baked good recipes call for one of these until one day a follower pointed out that I should develop a food processor e-Book. Which would be sick, btw. We’ll see. But regardless, I can’t say enough good things about this appliance. We’ve had ours for a few years and it works great still! Super easy clean-up, and I like using this as opposed to a blender when I need to blend/chop smaller quantities.
Lulu Lemon City Adventurer Bag
Backpacks > purses. There, I said it. I take a backpack with me everywhere I go. I love having my hands free. Plus I *haaaate* the way purses bump against my side and weigh me down unevenly. I’ve been using this plain black backpack for years. I bring it to the gym but don’t use it exclusively as my gym bag. It’s sleek and fashionable so I can wear it on days out in the city too! Well worth the investment in my opinion.
Faves From Friends
It’s no secret that I have a handful of INCREDIBLY talented and dedicated lady boss friends. These women have built up literal BUSINESSES. Calling them my friends is heartwarming and humble and I just- I LOVE THEM!
Dropping some products below that I adore, all brought to you by some very special people in my life!
Softwear (literally ANYTHING from this collection)
Back in September, Emma and I hosted an eating disorder recovery panel in NYC. A huge milestone for the both of us, only made possible by our dear friend Gabriella and her team over at Tru Haus! Weren’t able to make it? You can find a recap here.
Anywayyyyy, this event connected us with Sabrina, founder of Softwear. Not only was she kind enough to gift us with the most amazing and buttery-soft outfits for the night, but we also got to hang out with her beforehand, when we discussed the importance of sustainable fashion and the reality of running your own business. A moving conversation for sure!
Personally, I LIVE for my Softwear pullover and joggers. The quality is unreal and I could fall asleep standing up, they’re THAT comfortable.
The Nakd Kitchen eBook
Hi Emma I love you!!!!!
For all of you who don’t know, Emma and I met via Instagram and quickly became the best of friends. We chat on the daily, our FaceTimes last for hours. She even converted me to matcha, my most expensive habit, so thank you for that love that for me :)))))
Emma works harder than anyone I know. She’s wildly creative and an incredible entrepreneur. While she has loads of epic projects in the works (keep an eye out in 2020!), her most recent eBook has me speechless. The layout and design are fire, but the recipes? Don’t. Even. TRIP. We share such similar tastes that I would literally, (and I’m not just saying this), make *every* dish in here. Her curry thoughhhhhhhh. Ooooooof.
by ames scrunchies
This summer I went to Boston for the first time and Amy welcomed me with open arms (and literally no pants…we hadn’t met before this FYI). Another friend made via Instagram, we clicked right away. Big love for this girl. I laughed harder during those four days in Boston than I have in a long time. Boston Babies 4evaaaaa!
Amy is resilient AF. Hardship comes her way and she takes it on like a champ, seeing it as a chance to grow. And grow, she absolutely has. She’s found her calling as a female business owner and is SMASHING the scrunchie space. Not only are her pieces stylish, high quality, and a staple in my wardrobe, but they’re also handmade. Nothing is more authentic than that right there!
